BEER BREAD 
3 c. self rising flour
3 tbsp. sugar
1 can beer

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, put in greased loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, remove and brush well with beaten egg on top of bread. Return to oven and bake 20 minutes more to be soft and flavorful. Good served as sandwich for sliced Cheddar cheese.
