LEMON BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. walnuts
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
Grated peel of 1 lemon

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk. Stir in nuts and lemon rind. Bake in greased loaf pan in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. When it comes out of oven poke several holes in top with fork and pour hot lemon glaze over it.

LEMON GLAZE:

1/4 c. confectionary sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Heat in saucepan and simmer until syrup forms. Pour over bread.
