PEACH BREAD | |
2 sticks butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. cloves Dash of salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. buttermilk 1 c. peach preserves Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 3 loaf pans. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. In a separate bowl combine flour, spices and salt. Add baking soda to buttermilk. Alternating flour and buttermilk, add to mixture. Fold in preserves, reserving 2 tablespoons. Pour into loaf pans. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and spread 2 tablespoons of preserves on top. |
