ELENA'S FUDGY BROWNIES 
3/4 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. boiling water
1 1/3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Stir cocoa and baking soda in bowl. Add 1/3 vegetable oil, add boiling water. Stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3 cup vegetable oil. Stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt and blend well. Bake in 9x13 inch pan, lightly greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Frost, if desired.
