MEAT 'N' TATER PIE 
Pastry for a 2 crust pie
1/2 c. milk
Dash of black pepper
1 (12 oz.) pkg. loose- pack frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 lb. ground beef
3 tbsp. dry onion soup mix
Dash of allspice

Line pie pan with pastry. Combine meat, milk, soup mix, pepper and allspice, mixing gently. Lightly pat into pastry lined pan and top with potatoes. Place top crust over potatoes, seal and flute edge. Cut design into top of pastry for steam to escape. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until browned. Serve with warmed catsup. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
