SWEET & SOUR GREEN BEANS 
2 (1 lb.) cans French style green beans, drained
4 slices bacon, fried crisp & crumbled
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
Small onion, chopped

Fry bacon and set aside; reserve 1/3 cup drippings. Mix well sugar and vinegar. Heat drippings in skillet; add sugar and vinegar. Add onion and crumbled bacon. Stir. Add drained beans. Simmer for 20 minutes. Do not boil as it will get mushy.
