PASTA FROLA 
500 ml. (2 c.) flour
200 ml. sugar
6 1/2-7 tbsp. butter
1 egg, plus 1 yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
3-4 tbsp. milk
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder

Cut together dry ingredients into small pieces. Add the wet ingredients using 3 tablespoons milk. Mix well with fork or hands. Add extra tablespoon milk if necessary. Let stand 5 minutes.

Roll in small balls; press down middle with thumb. Add about 1/2 teaspoon strawberry jelly or apricot filling. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown on bottom about 8-12 minutes.
