BEST OATMEAL COOKIES | |
1 c. (2 sticks) butter 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. rolled oats 1 tsp. vanilla Granulated sugar for dipping In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Sift together the flour, soda and cinnamon. Stir into creamed mixture. Blend in oats. Chill dough. Place heaping teaspoonful of dough on a greased cookie sheet. Grease bottom of a small glass, dip in sugar, and press on uncooked cookie. Flatten to 1/4 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. One half cup chopped nuts may also be added to dough. |
