MOLASSES-OATMEAL COOKIES 
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. molasses
2 eggs
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. nuts
6 oz. butterscotch chips
6 oz. chocolate chips

Mix molasses, eggs, shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add flour and spices. Stir in oatmeal, nuts or chips if desired. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown. Popular with the kids!
