COUNTRY WHEAT BREAD
3 1/2 cups of warm water
1/4 cup cooking oil
10 cups flour
2 tablespoons yeast
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 cup of sugar
2 cups bran
1 1/2 cups of crushed wheat

Put ingredients into bowl (it doesn't matter what order) then beat in a mixer with a dough hook. This can be done by hand, but it would require a lot more kneading.

Transfer kneaded dough to an oiled bowl, turning once to coat. Allow it to rise in a warm place, then beat it down again and let it rise in the loaf pans which have been lightly oiled and dusted with flour.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for half an hour.

Note: This is a double recipe and may be cut in half. Cooking time remains the same. As is, the recipe will make 4-6 loaves, depending upon pan size. Extra loaves may be frozen.
