CHOCOLATE AND CHERRY RING 
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

In another bowl, combine eggs, oil and vanilla; add to flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in cherry pie filling, chocolate pieces and nuts.

Turn cherry mixture into greased and floured 10 inch fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool. Sift powdered sugar on top. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
