CHOCOLATE AND CHERRY RING 
2 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. cooking oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 c. semi sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. chopped walnuts
Powdered sugar

In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. In another bowl combine eggs, oil, and vanilla; add to flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in cherry pie filling, chocolate pieces, and nuts. Turn cherry mixture into a greased and floured 10 inch fluted tube pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool. Sift powdered sugar atop. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
