PEANUT BRITTLE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. Karo 1/4 c. water Put sugar, water and Karo in pot. Bring to boil. Add raw peanuts. Cook (stirring constantly) until peanuts pop and teaspoons soda and beat. Pour on buttered tin, cool and then break into pieces. This is the same recipe I use to make pecan brittle. I use 2 cups pecans and I put them in at the start with the Karo, sugar and water. I use a candy thermometer and cook it to hard crack (340 degrees). |
