CHILI AND BEANS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef, chuck or round
2 med. onions, sliced
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 sm. diced green pepper
2 tbsp. garlic salt
Salt to taste
2 tsp. oregano
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 bay leaf
1 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans

Combine ground beef, chuck or round with onions in large Dutch oven. Brown meat; drain fat. Add other ingredients., Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf and serve.
