LOW FAT CHILI | |
2 (15.5 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1/2 of 1 qt. jar V-8 vegetable juice (or tomato juice) 1 lb. ground turkey 1/4 c. onions, diced Green pepper and celery to taste, diced 1/4 c. sugar and catsup or to taste 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt Pepper and Mrs. Dash to taste 2 tbsp. chili powder, or to taste In skillet: brown ground turkey and add diced onion, green pepper and celery. Cook until tender; drain excess fat or grease (should not be much). In medium sized sauce pan: combine kidney beans, sugar, catsup, seasoned salt, pepper, Mrs. Dash, and chili powder. Add ground turkey and onions, green peppers, and celery from skillet. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with Nabisco no fat crackers. |
