CANDIED PECANS 
3 c. pecan halves
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. sugar, divided

1. Place pecans in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Heat in 250 degree oven 5 minutes.

2. In a 2 quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in corn syrup and 1/4 cup of the sugar. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat. Boil without stirring, 5 minutes.

3. Pour hot syrup over nuts, stirring constantly to coat evenly. Bake in preheated 250 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring several times.

4. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup sugar.
