SAN JACINTO INN BISCUITS
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. milk

Sift flour and dry ingredients in mixing bowl; add shortening and milk, and work with hands on lightly floured board. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake at 400 to 425 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until brown. Makes 20 large biscuits. (I have used cooking oil for the shortening.)
