HEARTY SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 c. Heartland Natural Cereal, Plain Variety
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. peach preserves
1/2 c. water
Hot rice

Mix together well ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, onion and cereal. With wet hands shape into 12 meatballs. Melt butter in 10 inch skillet. Add soy sauce and meatballs. Brown all over. Pour off fat, saving 1 tablespoon of soy sauce dripping. Combine drippings, peach preserves and water. Pour over meatballs. Simmer, covered, for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hot over rice. Makes 4 servings.
