COUNTRY BISCUITS 
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. milk plus 2 tbsp.

Mix together until blended well first 4 ingredients. Add milk and stir gently until mixed. Pour onto floured bread board, knead GENTLY 5 to 6 times. Roll or pat (leave pretty thick). Cut with biscuit cutter. Place on pan and bake in hot oven until done, 375 to 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
