PORK CHOPS AND SAUERKRAUT
CASSEROLE
 
4 to 5 pork chops
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lg. can (29 oz.) sauerkraut, reserve juice
4 med. potatoes, sliced
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
1/2 can water
Juice of sauerkraut
Salt and pepper

Flour, salt and pepper pork chops and brown in a large skillet. Remove chops and in same skillet saute onion. In a 2 1/2 or 3 quart casserole place layers of sauerkraut, sliced potatoes, onions and chops alternately. Topping with chops. Mix soup with water and sauerkraut juice. Pour over chops. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until potatoes are done.
