Pork Chops & Sauerkraut

I don't know why I am the first to review this recipe, it was great! Super Easy. I had two really thick cut boneless pork chops that I needed to cook tonight. Had everything this one called for, so glad I tried it! I sprinkled my chops with sea salt and pepper before browning them, I used a little less than 1/4 cup of sugar, and drained my sauerkraut real good first. But the pork chops were the most tender I have ever eaten, with such a thick cut. Will definately use again.

My husband loved this recipe. I did not add the total amount of sugar. Instead, I used 2 tsp of brown sugar and 1 tsp of sugar. I found the pork chops to be a little dry for my taste, so I'm not sure I'd go for the full hour and fifteen minutes next time, but otherwise, it's a great dish!

Relatively easy to make and there was good flavor. I wanted to do it in the slow cooker but forgot to take the chops out the night before so used the oven. The pork did come out a little on the dry side which meant that they were really dry when I reheated them a couple days later. I too used a little brown sugar in the mix. I will be using this recipe again in the future.

Thanks for the recipe! I'm a fairly new cook so I was excited this worked out so well. Only thing I changed was using a cup of applesauce and mixing it in with the sauerkraut rather than sliced apples, brown sugar, and garlic/salt as well as pepper for seasoning the pork chops. Great success!

I had a bunch of leftover sourkraut I needed to use up after a big Oktoberfest party. I tried out this recipe tonight and modified by using only brown sugar.
I was pleased, and my pork chops turned out juicy and very good. I did put salt and pepper on the chops before browning. I did feel like the saurkraut needed a little something more, but I'm not sure what...
