BUTTERMILK ROLL 
1 1/4 c. lukewarm buttermilk
3 tbsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. soft Crisco
3 to 4 c. flour

Dissolve 1 package dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Let stand 5 minutes, stir and add the buttermilk, sugar, soda and salt. Add one beaten egg, Crisco, and flour. Dough will be sticky, may take more flour. Mix with hands, put in bowl. Cover, let rise 30 minutes. Roll out as for cinnamon roll. Spread with butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up. Put in pans that have been greased.

TOPPING (have ready) :

1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. butterscotch chips
Chopped pecans

Combine all ingredients except the chips. Add these last, melt. Pour in pans, then place rolls on this. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
