PEPPERMINT WAFER DESSERT 
1 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin
2 tbsp. cold water
1 (8 oz.) pkg. soft-type peppermint sticks
1/2 c. whipping cream
1 1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
1 (8 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate wafers

Soften gelatin in water; set aside. Combine candy and 1/2 cup whipping cream in top of a double boiler; cook, stirring often until candy melts. Add gelatin, stirring until dissolved. Chill mixture until slightly thickened. Fold in whipped cream.
