TOMATO SOUP SPICE CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1 can tomato soup
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. nut meat
1 tsp. cloves
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. seeded raisins
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

Cream the butter and sugar. Sift dry ingredients three times. Flour raisins. Add the dry ingredients, nuts, tomato soup and floured raisins to the creamed butter and sugar. Bake 30 minutes in a moderate oven. Cover with cream cheese icing (recipe follows).

CREAM CHEESE ICING:

1 pkg. cream cheese
1/2 white of 1 egg
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together cream cheese, egg white and sugar. Beat until very light and creamy. Add vanilla and spread on cake.
