Fast and easy. A kinder gentler version of hamburger helper. Doubled the mushrooms, added dash Worcestershire sauce, paprika and sour cream. Would eat again!

This is a good and easy recipe and versatile. I have been doing my own cooking for 32 years. I love recipes like this one.

When I make this I add salt and pepper to the meat and onions as I brown it. After I add in the can of soup and mushrooms, I use fresh mushrooms, I add garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Also add 1/2 can of milk and 1/2 a can of water. The water and added milk make a nice mushroom gravy. Add a little more milk and water if the liquids get to dry. I add 1/2 bag of sweet peas also. About half of a 12 ounce or 16 ounce bag, simmer 10 minutes after you add the peas. It's good over egg noodles or biscuits. Don't forget the sour cream!

I added 1/2 cream of chicken and 1/2 can of cream of mushroom instead of all mushroom. Quick fulfilling meal with a salad.

I had 1 & 1/2 lbs ground beef on hand so I cooked that and then added 1 can cream of chicken soup and 8 oz sour cream. I cut up 2 garlic cloves instead of the salt as the soup has so much. It was delicious. So very easy. This is also so great because it can be frozen for a day when you just don't feel like cooking.

Quick and easy! Made with venison hamburger but added dash of Worcestershire, nutmeg and paprika for a little spice. Will definitely make this again!

I prepared this simple yet delicious recipe, didn't add or change anything. It's always a hit with my family... had fresh greens beans as the side.

I added a 1/2 can of cream of onion soup, paprika, and a tsp of minced garlic along with the other ingredients and it tasted amazing. The original recipe was to bland. Definitely will keep this recipe around.

This was pretty good. I had hamburger & no other beef strips or whatever else you may use for stroganoff. I did jazz it up a bit with additional seasonings and sofrito... turned out good. A good go-to recipe that is quick and easy and everyone enjoyed.

Delicious and easy. My wife loved it, and my girls (4 and 5) asked "can we have this again tomorrow?".

I left out the mushrooms (didn't have any lying around), but otherwise followed the recipe exactly.

This one is very tasty! I sauteed the mushrooms and fresh garlic in butter and used creamy portobello mushroom soup. I wish I had used 1/2 c. sour cream first and added more as I saw fit though.

I add just a little beef base (called "better than bouillon") to the hamburger after its cooked and drained. Great with egg noodles!

I love it!!!

 Bob (Pennsylvania) says:
I thought the finished recipe was a little too creamy and thick. I thinned mine with beef stock and it really enhanced the flavor.
