CHICKEN WITH MUSHROOMS COUNTRY
STYLE
 
2 lbs. chicken breasts and legs
Salt and pepper
4 tbsp. butter
1 sm. chopped onion
1 lb. sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk

Brown chicken parts lightly on all sides in large frying pan, turning often. Remove and keep warm. To pan add onions, mushrooms, and cook until lightly brown, stirring often. Add flour, blend in milk. Cook, stirring, until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Return chicken to pan, cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. Serve with rice or noodles. NOTE: Make with skim milk it is non fattening.
