1 c. soft butter
1 pkg. (3 oz.) softened cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Colored sugar, cinnamon sugar or finely chopped nuts

Cream butter, cheese and sugar. Add egg yolk and flavorings. Beat until light. Add sifted flour and salt and mix well. Force through cookie press onto cookie sheets. Decorate as desired. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen. Store in airtight container.
