8 potatoes, peeled Lasagne for 3 layers 1/4 lb. butter (1 stick) 1/8 lb. Longhorn cheese 1/8 lb. Velveeta cheese Milk 2 lg. onions, chopped 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Cook lasagna and drain. Boil potatoes. In microwave or in saucepan, melt cheeses in milk. Mash potatoes with 1/2 stick butter, milk, and cheeses. Add seasonings. Brown onion in butter. Put thin layer of melted butter in 9 x 13 inch pan to prevent sticking. Layer noodles, potato mixture, then onions. Continue layers with onions last. Drizzle butter over top. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
