SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. or 3 sticks butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. sour cream (softened)
3 c. sugar, sifted
6 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan.

Beat butter and sour cream together in mixing bowl until well blended. Add sugar to mixture and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Sift flour and salt together. Blend into cream mixture.

Spoon batter into pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes (or until toothpick test comes out clean). Let cool in pan for 5 minutes, take out of pan, allow to cool completely.
