OLD FASHION BREAD PUDDING 
4 c. dried bread, diced
2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins

Scald milk and cool. Put diced bread into buttered casserole. Pour milk and other ingredients over. Blend. Bake until knife inserted in pudding comes out clean. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. When baked, sprinkle with cinnamon or serve warm with hard sauce or cream.
