TOFFEE CRISP 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. crisp rice cereal

Place butter and sugar in medium saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until mixture caramelizes (becomes light caramel color and has a heavy consistency), 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal. Spread thin on greased cookie sheet. Let cool. Break into pieces.
