MAPLE APPLE CARROT DISH 
1 lg. onion, sliced (about 3/4 c.)
3 tbsp. butter
6 med. carrots, peeled & sliced
2 tbsp. maple-flavored syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
2 med. unpeeled tart apples, cut into wedges

In saucepan cook onion in butter until tender but not brown. Add carrots, syrup and salt; cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Add apple; cover and simmer about 15 minutes more or until carrots are tender. Stir occasionally. Makes 6 servings.
