APPLE PIE 
1 recipe plain pastry
3/4 c. white sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
5 or 6 apples, cored & sliced
1 1/2 tbsp. butter

Line pie pan with 1/2 pastry. Mix sugars, flour, salt and cinnamon; stir into apples until well coated. Pour into shell, pouring mixture over top. Dot with 1 1/2 tablespoons butter. Cover with top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until apples are tender. Yield: 6 servings.
