AMB POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco and 2 sticks butter
5 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 sm. can milk plus enough water to make 1 c.
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, halved and drained
1 c. chopped walnuts (not fine), fold in
2 tbsp. butter, vanilla, nut flavoring

Cream shortening, sugar, and salt. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour alternately with milk, ending with flour. Add flavoring. Add drained cherries and nuts. Grease and flour bundt pan (large). Bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Start with cold oven and do not open door while baking.
