1 egg
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. Betty Crocker devil's food cake mix
Half gallon ice cream

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat egg, shortening, butter, vanilla and 1/2 of dry cake mix until smooth. Stir in remaining cake mix. Divide dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each part into rectangle 10x6 inches (approximately) on lightly floured board. Cut into 3x2 1/2 inch rectangles.
