SCANDINAVIAN CHRISTMAS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
2 c. flour
2 c. pecans, chopped
Green & red cherries

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in egg yolks. Stir until well mixed. Add flour. Form into balls (walnut size). Roll each cookie in egg whites (slightly beaten), then nuts, then sugar. Place on cookie sheet (greased). Flatten down and place a cherry in the center of each cookie. Press down. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes.
