PEPPER BURGERS-THYME SAUCE 
1 lb. ground chuck
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
3/4 c. soft bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Salt and pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. beef broth
1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire
1/2 tsp. thyme leaves
1 green pepper, sliced

In bowl, combine first 6 ingredients and mix well. Shape into patties.

In a 10-inch skillet, cook patties until almost done. Remove from skillet and cook onion in drippings until tender. Drain off any fat, blend in flour, add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Cook and stir until bubbly. Add burgers and green pepper strips, cover and cook 5 minutes. Serve with rice.
