5 HOUR STEW 
2 lb. stewing beef, cubed chuck
3 carrots, med. sliced
1 onion, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and quartered
10 3/4 oz. tomato soup
5 3/8 oz. water
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. pickle juice
Sprinkle pepper to taste
Peas or any other leftover vegetables per you liking

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Place all ingredients except for the peas or other leftover vegetables into a large casserole with a fitted lid, a roaster is fine. Mix liquids and seasonings and pour over all other ingredients. Cover and bake 5 hours. During last hour, put in leftover peas or other vegetables. Gravy forms itself. Serves 6.
