1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix shortening and sugar, add eggs, flour, baking powder, salt, sift together, add vanilla, mix well. Press dough into small cup cake tins, make indent, fill with jam and nut mixture. Bake until light brown 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 48.
