RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. white rice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 qt. milk (I use powdered)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook in top of double boiler for 2 hours. Stir every 1/2 hour. When thick, add lump of butter, raisins, and a little cinnamon. Will thicken more when refrigerated.
