1 scant c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 2/3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs and beat well. Add sifted flour, baking powder, vanilla and milk. Fill a baking dish one third full of sliced apples, pour batter over apples and bake at 350 degrees.
