RAISIN FILLED COOKIES 
5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1/2 c. sour milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix together all dry ingredients - except soda which is dissolved in sour milk. Rub Crisco into dry ingredients. Beat eggs, add to milk. Mix - roll out and cut. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.

FILLING:

2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. cornstarch

Cook raisins until done. Add sugar and cornstarch. Set aside and cool. Add vanilla. 1 teaspoon filling per cookie. "May use mincemeat for filling."
