FILLED RAISIN COOKIES 
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 tbsp. flour

Rub flour and butter together. Add baking powder. Then mix in sugar, egg and milk. Mix soft and roll thin and cut in rounds.

FILLING: Cook sugar, chopped raisins, water and flour. Let cool. Put a teaspoon filling between 2 cookies, pinch the edges together and bake.

Dates may be used instead of raisins.
