RAISIN FILLED COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
5 c. flour (3 c. in dough, remaining flour for rolling out)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Roll out and cut into circles. Place on greased cookie sheet and put 1 tablespoon of raisin filling on circle. Cover with second circle and press edges to seal.

FILLING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. raisins
1 c. water
3 tbsp. flour (mix with water to prevent lumps)

Boil until thick, cool. Bake 8 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
