"THE GRANOLA GLORY" | |
1 1/4 c. butter, melted (2 1/2 sticks preferred) or butter 3/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. granulated sugar (white sugar) 1 lg. egg 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, bleached or non-bleached flour 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. salt (optional), not needed 2 tbsp. vanilla 2 c. granola (your favorite kind - banana nut, raisin) 1/2 c. oats, uncooked Melt butter. Pour into large mixing bowl. Add brown sugar, then granulated sugar together until smooth. Pour in flour and make sure all lumps are dissolved. Add nutmeg, vanilla, then granola and oats. This great cookie recipe must be mixed until completeness of all ingredients are settled in together. The Granola Glory is a thick cookie and should be rolled into a ball and then pressed down to make 4 1/2 inch length circular or a 3 x 5 inch bar to eat as a bar snack for lunch. Oven should be preheated to 350 degrees, then put cookies spread out on non-stick pan into oven. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Check cookies at 10 minutes to assure they aren't cooking too fast. The Granola Glory is glorious and great for children! |
