FRENCH STYLE PEAS | |
2 lb. fresh peas or 1 pkg. frozen 1 tbsp. butter 6 lettuce leaves, shredded 3 scallions or 1 onion, sliced 2 tsp. sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. water Shell fresh peas. If frozen peas are used, defrost 2 hours before using. Melt butter in a saucepan and arrange shredded lettuce on top. Add scallions and peas and sprinkle with sugar, salt and water. Cover tightly and cook over low heat 25 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning. Mix carefully and serve. 80 calories per serving. |
