I tried one, and even though I not much of a peanut butter fan, they were great! I really hope my sister likes them, because thats what I'm giving her for Christmas

Mmm! These cookies were sooo good! From now on, I think I'll use this recipe instead of the one I found in a cookie cookbook. Thanks for the recipe!!!

This recipe is SO GOOD! Only thing I do different is instead of using a cookie sheet, I use non-stick mini muffin pans. Roll the dough in a ball and bake them. Then sometimes when I want something extra special, instead of using kisses, I use Dove chocolates. Wow... you can't believe the difference in the chocolates.

These cookies are fantastic! Thank you for such a clear recipe. I like how you didn't go into detail about every step of the process. That implied that you respected your readers' intelligence and that it was not an intimidating recipe to follow. My version used whole wheat pastry flour, chunky natural peanut butter (unsalted) and dark chocolate kisses. Out of this world. I also borrowed "Okcountrygirl"'s idea to use non-stick mini-muffin trays for half the batch and it was fun to see and taste the contrast.

So good I loved the cookies at school we had a contest and my teacher was like I won't eat any and when I came back they were gone. The cookies are a hit.

Best peanut butter cookie ever. I've been making this one for 40 years. But now they've come out with bittersweet chocolate Kisses and they're even better!!!

Great for kids to "help" with since very little kids can press that Kiss on top!
Roll the ball in sugar and half bake then press in the Kiss and finish baking.
Don't flatten them,

These were good cookies, simple batter. However I agree with an earlier post. Make them small, or they flatten out!

 Laura (Maryland) says:
This is a great recipe but i find if you roll them in sugar before baking it makes them even better!

 Lesley (Ohio) replies:
They do turn out great and I agree with Laura, roll them in sugar is the way I've always known to bake them, right before you bake roll the balls. Gives them a little extra sweetness!

Huge hit at family reunion. I rolled the balls in sugar before baking.

 Katie (North Carolina) says:
They were good.. not great. I might try rolling them in sugar next time. We couldn't quite get the size right.

We did use natural peanut butter with dark chocolate chips. The kind you grind yourself at Whole Foods or Earthfare. The cookies them selves were delish! I also used chocolate world balls cause I forgot the kisses. They tasted good but I like it when they look pillowy and mine were flat!

 Ilo (Iowa) says:
Always make these cookies and refrigerate overnight... Makes a much nicer shaped cookie.. Yummy
