APRICOT BREAD 
1 c. dried apricots
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts

Soak apricots 30 minutes in warm water. Drain and cut into 1/4 inch pieces. Mix sugar, butter, and egg. Stir in 1/4 cup water and orange juice. Sift flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Blend nuts and apricots with other ingredients. Grease well, pour in pan. Stand 20 minutes, then bake 55 to 65 minutes at 350 degrees.
