POCKET STEAK | |
2 tbsp. cooking oil 12 oz. mushrooms, chopped 2 med. onions, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 c. soft bread crumbs 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 1/2 lb. beef top round steak or sirloin cut 1 1/2" thick In 10 inch skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add mushrooms, onions and garlic. Saute until tender and liquid released from mushroom has evaporated about 8 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in bread crumbs, parsley, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; set aside. Cut a deep wide pocket in steak stuff with mixture seal with toothpicks or skewers. Broil 5 inches from heat 10 minutes on each side for medium rare or 15 minutes for well done. |
