1 lg. can Queen Anne cherries, pitted and drained 2 c. pineapple tidbits, drained 1 can mandarin orange slices, drained 2 c. miniature marshmallows 1/2 c. sliced almonds 3 egg yolks 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. pineapple juice 1 tbsp. butter 1 pt. whipping cream In top of double-boiler, cook egg yolks, vinegar, sugar, pineapple juice, and butter until thick. While mixture is cooling, whip the pint of whipping cream. Stir mixture into whipped cream. Add all other ingredients, except for almonds. Place salad in large serving bowl and top with sliced almonds. Chill for several hours before serving. |
